This week’s International Refugee Law Seminar Series will focus on the rhetoric of ‘Mass Influx’ in regards to the EU law on refugee acceptance.

This talk will contextualise and problematize the concept of ‘mass influx’, and suggest that notwithstanding its many shortcomings, global refugee policy sets out important standards that are lacking in EU law.

The speaker, Cathryn Costello is Andrew W Mellon Associate Professor of International Human Rights and Refugee Law, and a fellow of St Antony’s College.

When:

2nd March 18:00-20:00

Where:

Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (Council Chamber),  17 Russell Square , WC1B 5DR
