The panel will discussĀ The Refugee Journalism Project, which supported recently-arrived exile and refugee journalists in the UK to re-establish their career in journalism.

The Refugee Journalism Project:

With the cooperation of London College of Communication and the Migrants Resource Centre, the project aims to dispel the negative, xenophobic attitude of British media and within the sector by actively engaging voices of migrants and refugees, and support newly-arrived refugee journalists in the UK to re-establish their career here.

The panel speakers:

Claudia-Liza Armah, a Ghanaian-British newsreader who currently works for Sky News and BBC London.
Daniel Trilling, Editor, New Humanist
Maurice Wren, Chief Executive of Refugee Council
Tom Law, Director of Campaigns and Communications of Ethical Journalism Network
Abdulwahab Tahhan, Researcher, Airwars
Shahd Abusalama, writer and artist
