In the light of celebrating the Syrian Freedom Week – 6th anniversary of the Syrian Revolution – Syria Solidarity is hosting a story-telling and panel discussion event at UCL.

The panel speakers:

Ahmad Al-Rashid, a graduate student at UCL originally from Aleppo, and worked in various aspects relating to refugee rights and child rights in conflict areas.

Thaer Batal, a Syrian refugee now studying at University of Westminster. He also appeared as the leading role in the BBC documentary series “The Refugee Diaries”.

Dr Aula Abbara, has been on the steering committee of the Syrian Public Health Network.

Tim Finch, the founding director of the migration and refugee communications agency, IMiX.

Stephen Hale OBE, the Chief Executive of Refugee Action, a national charity that supports asylum seekers and refugees to rebuild their lives in the UK
